So yeah I haven't been active on wikia for a while and although I've begun editing again, I don't really like using wikia anymore. The site glitches are too much, I can't even save my changes anymore because it loads forever when I click submit. Anyway, can staff or whoever is in charge remove my status that'd be cool.

If somebody is really familiar with the film, the images in the gekijo-ban gallery page need to be put into chronological order.  I've only viewed it once and will eventually get around to it, but if someone is eager to take that project on, feel free to move the images in the gallery.  Just remember to place them left to right row by row.  Thanks!  Angelle aka Luxartisan (talk) 21:48, October 9, 2015 (UTC)

Happy 2015 to one and all.  I just want to take a moment to thank everyone who has contributed their time, energy and devotion to this wikia and the Psycho-Pass fandom.  Within the last 100 days, this wikia has become the premiere Wikia for Psycho-Pass information.  There have been a few upstart wikias but most people just don't realize how much work is involved and how necessary it is to have dedicated editors who do what they do simply because they love the franchise and want to share their passion with others.  As of today, it's gratifying to tell you that this wikia has tripled the number of articles and we are experiencing anywhere from 15-20K hits per day.  It warms the cockles of my heart (whatever cockles are). 

Onward (with edits) and upward (in members)!

Just want to let everyone know that I've changed the format of the name for each episode page.  The title is preceded by a simple numerical code of Season/Episode.  I saw this on another PP website and I liked it.  It looks like a case number, is simpler in design and should now alphabetize in chronological order in the correct manner.  Hope you agree.  Angelle aka Luxartisan (talk) 01:15, December 28, 2014 (UTC)

Hey there!  Please do not ask me why I'm awake at 6:30am on Christmas Day - force of habit after years of doing so to get ready for the family onslaught?  Whatever. 

On Tumblr the other day, a generic anime fan expressed disappointment that when he visited a wikia for trivia, he learned that the character for whom he was seeking info was deceased.  He was really bummed out to learn this prematurely in his acclimation to the fandom.  It got me thinking that even though we state that spoilers are a part of the wikia (as they are for any wikia), letting someone know this significant tidbit via an Infobox is rather unavoidable.  Summaries can be ignored - an infobox status?  Not so much. 

Therefore, I'm asking for your opinions on eliminating that portion of the infobox.  The category will remain a part of the wikia's NavBar for those interested.  Character articles will still have this info at the very bottom where categories are listed and editors (who are most invested) will also see it as part of the editing module in the right rail.  I really want this to happen but I didn't want to change it without some input.  If it's "hell no!" from the vast majority of editors, I'll reconsider.  If you have another idea, let me know that, as well. 

I won't be doing anything until Saturday, 12/27, so please check in with your thoughts.  Just remember that the point of any wikia, after all, is growing fanbase; so encouraging, rather than discouraging, visitors is a very good thing.

I think there's some bad phenomenons in this wikis.

1. People with no knowledge of Japanese/Kanjis kept adding wrong informations, and don't trust these added by those who understand it, especially when the latter got new information.

(Yes, I'm always suspected by Lux, and other western users.

If you have time to suspect me, go to Psycho-pass offical website & twitter, Japanese wikipedia, pixiv to wander around, OK??)

2. Some people edit from time to time, just want to earn more wikia scores. Even add wrong categories and informations.

3. Minor characters with no actual effects to the main story line are kept added into it. I personally want to add Mai Momota, the cute girl who crushed on Gino, too. But she has no actual influence (at least now, I don't know how many spin-off novels and mangas PP committe will publish)

My name is Angelle and I am the new admin of this wiki.  Check out my profile to learn more about me (if you care to do so).  I've been a member of this wiki since last year, but only got re-invested in a big way recently, so it may take me some time to get a feel for this wiki and to determine its direction.  I expect we'll have many new members in the weeks to come and it's all good.  Please play nice and follow the rules that I've set out on the Community Message rail under Wiki Activity.  I'm an experienced admin for another wiki but am always learning new things so if I ask for your help, I hope you assist and understand that nobody can know everything which is why Wiki as a phenom is a group effort.  I am, however, an excellent writer of American English and will edit text as need be. 

My plans for this wiki?  Many!  Psycho-Pass is a major franchise with multiple media so the structure of this wiki may change in time -- just not immediately.  I have opened the Forums, obviously, and hope you all start using them.  Mama Lux says, "no trolling, no spamming and no bullying" or you will be banned - no exceptions. 

Editors - please check out the Rules on the Wiki Activity page's right rail.  It's pretty basic but I mean what I say.  The one thing I absolutely insist on is no fan-art-fic except on a blog (now available for your use) or your Profile Page.  If you upload an image other than a screencap or something that is obviously official, please tell me what makes it official so I don't mistakenly delete it.  I'm a little OCD about housekeeping.

A few of you have already starting adding new material about S2 which is awesome.  SHOUT OUTS to Jinirules and Amy Xu for all your great work so far!  I hope others join in the fun and add info about the new season.

Other than that, know that I will be checking in every day and reviewing all edits made.  I will be posting a list of Pages Needing Attention among other things; but I'm open to suggestion, so if you have an idea, message me on the newly revamped Message Wall system (thread-based) or use the Forum.  

SO MUCH TO DO!  But I'm psyched about it.  Are you?

I noticed that in the current vote, people still focused on Deceased/Escaped characters. 

New votes can help us check how many people are reading our wiki, and pop up the atomsphere.

My example:

Which character of Season 2 do you think most likely to die?

Risa, Nobuchika, Mika, Yayoi, Sho, Tougane

(Akane will surive to Movie, while Shion is in the office, quite safe.)

Right now, there are four:

Chat Moderator - someone who is a "chatter" and willing to monitor what gets said there to keep things friendly. 

Affiliations Manager - Position filled by Amy Xu

Template TopDog - someone who is expert at creating and altering templates, as the admin requires.

Music Maven - someone who is expert at uploading music and finding accurate kanji, Romanji and English lyrics for Psycho-Pass related music, along with background material on them.

Any takers?

Character pages should be structured in the following manner for consistency:

Signifcant character quote

Short descriptive summary at left  - Infobox at right  with character image. (Image should be a head and shoulders shot with the character looking forward with a neutral expression).

Appearance

Personality

Relationships

Trivia - obscure information that is not revealed in any other part of the wiki.  If you can find it elsewhere on the wiki, it's not trivia (and will be deleted to avoid duplication).

Gallery

My feeling is that  "Plot" is unnecessary on a character page since most, if not all, of the information can be found in either the other segments of the page OR in the episode summaries themselves.  I understand that in the early days of this wiki, the summaries were not separate; but they will be now so including them in character bios is overkill unless it is extremely concise (not a a blow-by-blow ep-by-ep summary of what the character did in each episode).  We'll see how it goes.  Separate character image galleries are also overkill so I will be shifting what separate galleries there are to add the images (new format, btw) on the character page itself (not a big fan of tabs unless absolutely critical).

One more thing about images -- I definitely want to keep screencaps separate from other types of official images.  That said, I will be establishing a Psycho-Pass Imagery page for all images that are not screencaps.  That makes finding such items easier, I think, and keeps the screencaps dedicated to character and episode pages only.  Of course, if an alt media has its own images, they will appear on the page housing the article re: said media.

Adding info about S2 characters is ok but I think holding off on the ep summaries is a good idea until I can decide how they should be labeled to differentiate.  I'll let you know once I do. 

A Style Manual, a Table of Contents, and more are all to come.  I've also set up an Achievements board so that your input is duly noted.
