A Criminally Asymptomatic person is a person whose cymatic scan fails to align with their personality. These individuals are difficult for the Sibyl System to judge as their Psycho-Pass is either close to zero, non-existent or it cannot be determined at all. They can commit the worst crimes or forms of brutality against humanity, while still remaining detached from it. In old psychological lore, they were once also known as "Psychopaths", "Sociopaths" or diagnosed with "Antisocial Personality Disorder". That said, not all CA individuals are bad.

Personalities[]

Criminally asymptomatic individuals tend to be dispassionate, staying calm and detached when committing the most heinous crimes or atrocities. Due to their neuro-psychological structure, they literally cannot feel empathy, guilt or remorse. Some do have the ability to control their Crime Coefficient through mental techniques while still others possess the trait without knowing it.

Sibyl System[]

The Sibyl System is comprised of a hive-mind of the brains of criminally asymptomatic individuals which allows them to evaluate and manipulate human psyches. As they tend to look at the world from an objective, external point of view, they are thought to create harmony and equality within Japanese society.[1] Several characters in the anime view this as anti-social in and of itself.
