Riku Mukojima (向島 陸 Mukoujima Riku) is one of the children who died in the Mount Kumataka plane crash years prior. He is now one of the seven personalities of Kirito Kamui. He appears as an older version of himself as Nobuchika Ginoza's therapist.
Appearance
Mukojima is a male of average height and build in his 20's. He has dark-irised eyes and short black hair that curls at the ends.
Personality
At first glance, he seems to be a serene, understanding individual, but gives advice that is hard to follow. Once incorporated into Kamui's body, his personality serves as a negative factor in Kamui's conflicted nature insofar that it fails to prevent his violent tendencies, but provides rational reasons for them.
He has been described as a "peaceful and quiet group representative."[1]
Personal Background
- In 2099, Mukojima dies in the Mount Kumataka plane crash, along with over 200 other passengers. The current "Mukojima" is a hologram developed by Kirito Kamui.[2]
Relationships
Nobuchika Ginoza
Mukojima is Ginoza's former therapist. After his demotion, Ginoza still attends sessions with him in order to address his feelings regarding Risa Aoyanagi's death.
Kirito Kamui
Prior to the accident, Mukojima and Kamui are classmates. Due to the surgery, Mukojima now lives on through Kamui.
