Tow Ubukata (冲方 丁 Ubukata Tow), born on February 14, 1977, is a Japanese science fiction light novel, manga and anime creator. He is the series compositor of Psycho-Pass 2. In 1996, he won the Sneaker Taisho Gold for his novel Kuroi Kisetsu (Black Season) and began his career as a writer. In 2003, his work on Madrock Scramble won the Nihon SF Taisho Award (lit.Japan Science Fiction Award).
